The Saranggola Blog Awards is an award-giving body that aims to promote local literature by selecting the best works in Filipino annually. On its eleventh year, the SBA awarded several writers for sanaysay (essay), tula (poetry), maikling kuwento (short story), dagli (flash fiction), and kuwentong pambata (children’s literature).
The SBA also awarded three winners for the category “pagsusuri” or literary criticism/book review for the 2018 contest period. Due to the pandemic, the SBA was unable to hold a physical awarding ceremony for the winners of the 2019 SBA. The online awarding ceremony was spearheaded by the founder of the SBA, Bernard “Blue” Umali, and author and SBA organizer Beverly “Bebang” Wico Siy.
RPBP extends its heartfelt congratulations to our author, and wishes him the best in future writing endeavors.
